The athletes and staff at Dedicated Basketball will be embarking on a fundraising journey to donate a new outdoor covered basketball court to D.W. Poppy Secondary school.
At Dedicated, we strongly believe that getting involved in community service helps teach students life skills and helps develop well rounded young adults. Due to these beliefs, we are encouraging our athletes to help lead this fundraising adventure. We encourage them to come up with fundraising ideas, lead their own projects to help towards the end goal, and get involved in anyway they can.
The goal is set.
The current plan is to upgrade the farthest outdoor court that is currently located on the side of D.W. Poppy Secondary. Our goal is to cover the cement ground with the proper outdoor rubber surfacing, upgrade the hoops and build a structure that ensures the students can access and use this space no matter what the BC weather throws at them.
